A Legend Born from Innovation

She was designed to race in the SORC (Southern Ocean Racing Conference). Her design proved to be radically different compared to the boats at the time, i.e. 100% glass fiber, fin keel.

At the time glass fiber was not used extensively for vessels like nowadays, as a result Sorcery has been designed far stronger than actually required. As her previous owner mentioned, the crew will break before the boat.

Sorcery was launched in 1970 and for a number of years was the sailing vessel to be beaten. She is a pedigree racer however over the years she has had several modifications to make her more suitable for cruising.
Some of these changes are installation of watermaker, solar, bow/stern thrusters, foldable double beds in the saloon, etc. She is a fast sleek boat as such her inside is not as spacious as modern boats, still plenty of room though.
There is one room in the bow with a double bed, other sleeping locations are two double beds and three bunks in the saloon and another two in the stern. Unless you are a couple the chance you will get the room upfront is low.
